Clues To Go    -     Bristol Old Quayside

This short, walking route starts at The Centre on Broad Quay. You will find the answers to the questions as you go down Prince St to the harbourside, visit Queen Square, King St & conclude on the Welsh Back. Much of the walk is pedestrianised. On the way there are many cafes, restaurants & bars for a refreshment break and the whole of the walk is wheelchair-friendly.

The area has been renovated in recent years, so that the historic buildings are all looking pristine and this area is such a pleasant place to explore. Near by, the other side of Broad Quay towards Anchor Road, there is the ultra modern Explore@Bristol development that includes a Planetarium and a whole host of interactive exhibits for children.

The city of Bristol is as rich in history as any other city in Britain and there is so much to see here. This route takes in a very small part of that heritage, concentrating in the mainly pedestrianised area of the Old City.

If you are coming from outside the area, you can make use of the park & ride facilities, catching the shuttle bus that drops you off on Anchor Road, close by the Explore@Bristol development.
